Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy was last updated and posted on August 3, 2026. It governs the privacy terms of our website located at https://www.amortization-calc.com, together with its sub-domains (the "Website"), and of our mobile applications for iOS and Android (the "Apps"; together with the Website, the "Services"), which are owned and operated by ARSIDIAN LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company ("we", "us" or "our"). Any capitalized terms not defined in this Privacy Policy have the meaning specified in our Terms of Use.
Your privacy is important to us. This Policy explains what information we collect when you use the Services, how we use it, and the choices you have. The Services provide free amortization and loan calculators; the Apps offer the same calculators as the Website. You can use them without creating an account, and we never ask you for a name, an email address, a lender, or any financial account details in order to calculate. By using the Services, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Policy.
A note about the figures you enter. The calculators run on your own device: the arithmetic happens in your browser or in the App, and we do not store your calculations. On the Website, however, a completed calculation is written into the page address so that the result can be bookmarked and shared — for example ?p=250000-6500-25-1-2026-7, which encodes the amount, rate, term, and start date you entered. Like any web address, that address is sent to our hosting provider with the request and is recorded in the page paths our analytics provider receives. Those figures are not tied to your name or to any account, and we do not use them to build a profile of you, but you should keep this in mind before sharing a link to a calculation. The Apps do not put your figures into a web address.
- Before or at the time of collecting personal information, we identify the purposes for which information is being collected.
- We collect and use personal information solely to fulfil those purposes and other compatible purposes, unless we obtain the consent of the individual concerned or as required by law.
- We retain personal information only as long as necessary for the fulfilment of those purposes.
- We collect personal information by lawful and fair means.
- Personal data should be relevant to the purposes for which it is used and, to the extent necessary for those purposes, should be accurate, complete, and up-to-date.
- We protect personal information with reasonable security safeguards against loss, theft, and unauthorized access, disclosure, copying, use, or modification.
Definitions
"Non-Personal Information" is information that is not personally identifiable to you and that we automatically collect when you access the Website with a web browser or use an App. It may also include publicly available information that is shared between you and others.
"Personally Identifiable Information" is non-public information that is personally identifiable to you and that you provide to us, or that we obtain about you, in order to provide the Services. It may include information such as your name and email address.
"Mobile Advertising Identifier" is a resettable, device-level identifier that mobile operating systems provide to apps for advertising and measurement — the Identifier for Advertisers ("IDFA") on iOS and the Advertising ID on Android. It is not your name, and you can reset or switch it off at any time in your device settings, as described under "Your Choices on a Mobile Device" below.
Information We Collect
Generally, you control the amount and type of information you provide to us when using the Services. You can browse the Website, install an App, and use the calculators without providing any Personally Identifiable Information.
Information you provide. If you contact us through the contact form on our About Us page, we collect the name, email address, and message you submit so that we can respond to your inquiry. The contact form is protected by Cloudflare Turnstile to prevent abuse.
Information collected automatically on the Website. Like most websites, we automatically collect certain information when you visit, which is typically Non-Personal Information. This includes your device's Internet Protocol ("IP") address, browser type and version, the referring and exit pages, the pages you visit, the date and time of your visit, and the time spent on those pages. We may infer your approximate location (such as your city or region) from your IP address in order to display relevant content. We do not use GPS or precise device location.
Information collected automatically in the Apps. When you use an App, we and our providers automatically collect Non-Personal Information about the device and how the App is used. This includes your Mobile Advertising Identifier, device model and manufacturer, operating system and version, App version, language and country settings, screen characteristics, network connection type, your IP address (from which an approximate region may be inferred), the screens you open, the actions you take within the App, and diagnostic information such as crashes and performance data. The Apps do not request access to your contacts, photos, microphone, camera, precise location, or health data, and they do not read files on your device.
Cookies, Identifiers and Similar Technologies
The Website uses "cookies" — small pieces of data stored on your device by your web browser — and similar technologies. We and our third-party partners (described below) use them to remember your preferences (such as light or dark theme), to understand how the Website is used, and to deliver and measure advertising. Most web browsers can be set to disable cookies; however, if you disable cookies, some functionality of the Website may not work correctly. We never place Personally Identifiable Information in cookies.
The Apps do not use browser cookies. They use the equivalent mobile technologies: your Mobile Advertising Identifier, an app-instance identifier generated by our analytics provider, and ordinary storage on the device for your settings. These serve the same purposes — remembering preferences, measuring use, and delivering and measuring advertising — and the choices described under "Your Choices on a Mobile Device" apply to them.
Advertising
The Services are supported by advertising, which is what keeps the calculators free.
On the Website we use Google AdSense. Google and its partners are third-party vendors that use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites.
- Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this and/or other sites on the Internet.
- You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings.
- You can opt out of personalized advertising from many participating third-party vendors at optout.aboutads.info or youronlinechoices.com.
In the Apps we use Google AdMob, Google's advertising network for mobile applications. AdMob and its partners may use your Mobile Advertising Identifier and information about your device and your use of the App to select, deliver, and measure ads, and to limit how often you see the same ad. We do not give advertisers your name or contact details, because we do not have them, and we do not share the figures you enter into a calculator with them.
Where the law requires your consent before advertising identifiers may be used for personalized advertising — for example in the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom — the Apps ask for that consent before serving personalized ads, and you can change your answer later in the App's settings. On iOS, personalized advertising additionally requires your permission through Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt; if you decline, the Apps still work and still show ads, but those ads are not personalized.
For more information about how Google uses data from the sites and apps that use its services, see Google's Privacy & Terms.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics to understand how the Services are used — how often people visit, which calculators and screens they open, and which pages they came from. We use this information only to improve the Services, and we do not use it to identify you.
- On the Website, you can prevent your data from being used by Google Analytics by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
- In the Apps, analytics is provided by Google Analytics for Firebase, which identifies a device by an app-instance identifier rather than by a cookie. Deleting and reinstalling the App resets that identifier, and clearing the App's data or uninstalling it removes the analytics data stored on your device.
Your Choices on a Mobile Device
Your device gives you controls that apply to every app, including ours:
- iOS. Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking lets you withdraw the App Tracking Transparency permission at any time. Settings → Privacy & Security → Apple Advertising controls Apple's own personalized ads.
- Android. Settings → Google → Ads lets you opt out of ads personalization or delete your Advertising ID entirely, which stops apps from receiving it.
- Either platform. Uninstalling an App stops all collection by that App from that point on. Deleting the App also deletes the settings and analytics identifiers it stored on the device.
How We Use Your Information
- To operate and improve the Services. We use the information we collect to provide the calculators, customize content (such as your theme preference), analyze usage trends, diagnose crashes, and improve the Website and the Apps.
- To respond to you. We use the information you submit through the contact form to respond to your inquiry.
- To display advertising. We and our advertising partners use information as described in the Advertising section above.
- Legally required releases of information. We may be legally required to disclose your Personally Identifiable Information where such disclosure is (a) required by subpoena, law, or other legal process; (b) necessary to assist law enforcement officials or government enforcement agencies; (c) necessary to investigate violations of or otherwise enforce our Terms of Use; (d) necessary to protect us from legal action or claims from third parties; or (e) necessary to protect the legal rights, property, or personal safety of ARSIDIAN LLC, our users, or the public.
How We Share Your Information
We do not sell, rent, or trade your Personally Identifiable Information. We may share information with service providers who perform services on our behalf — such as our hosting and security provider (Cloudflare) and our advertising and analytics providers (Google, including AdSense, AdMob, and Google Analytics) — which receive only the information necessary to perform those services.
We also do not control, and are not responsible for, the information that Apple and Google collect when you download or update an App from the App Store or Google Play. Those companies act as the distributors of the Apps and handle that information under their own policies. We may also disclose information as described under "Legally required releases of information" above, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
Children's Privacy
The Services are not directed to children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect Personally Identifiable Information from children under 13. This is consistent with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). The Apps are not listed in the children's or families categories of the app stores and are not designed for children. If you believe that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will take steps to delete that information.
Data Security
The security of your information is important to us, but no method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your information — including transmission over an encrypted SSL connection where supported by your browser — we cannot guarantee its absolute security. You should take care in deciding what information you send to us by email or through the contact form.
Links to Other Websites
The Services may contain links to other websites that are not under our control. These websites may have their own privacy policies. We have no responsibility for linked websites and provide these links solely for the convenience of our users. You access such linked websites at your own risk, and you should review their privacy policies.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
We reserve the right to modify this Privacy Policy at any time. If we make material changes, we will update the "last updated" date at the top of this Policy and, where appropriate, notify you by other means. Any changes are effective as of the updated date and replace any prior Privacy Policy. You should review this Privacy Policy periodically.
